TDC in the running for top regional award
The shortlist for this year’s Insider Yorkshire Dealmakers Awards has been unveiled and we’re excited to announce that the £42.5m acquisition of AIM-listed Styles&Wood plc by Central Square Holdings Ltd has been nominated for Deal of the Year £25m+, which saw TDC provide £25m of institutional capital to support the transaction.
The public to private (P2P) deal then resulted in Styles&Wood’s merger with Leeds-based commercial interior specialist, Southerns, to provide a complementary group with significant growth opportunities.
This nomination follows the five Tosca Debt Capital (TDC) deals already shortlisted at the North West Dealmakers Awards, spanning Alternative Finance Provider of the Year, Deal of the Year sub £10m, £10m to £50m and £50m+, and Dealmaker of the Year for Partner, Gary Davison.
The Yorkshire Dealmakers remains one of the biggest awards evenings in the region’s corporate finance calendar, celebrating funders and dealmakers that are best in class.
Judith McMath, Corporate Development Director at TDC, said: “It’s always rewarding to have what we do recognised by our peers and we remain committed to providing regional borrowers across Yorkshire and the wider Northern Powerhouse with a range of capital options that support ambitious growth strategies.
“Styles&Wood and Southerns is one of 17 deals that TDC has completed to date, deploying capital from the c.£320m already raised over TDC’s Funds I and II. We have built an excellent network across Yorkshire and its surrounding regions, and adding another award nomination to our roster demonstrates value and success in our regional, relationship-driven approach.”
